Store hopping, stealing for drugs
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Megan Elizabeth Pickard, 29, of Mohave Valley, late Monday morning for theft, possession of dangerous drugs, felonies, and possession of prescription drugs not prescribed, misdemeanor.
At about 11:00 a.m., deputies responded to a shoplifting report at a store in the 10200 block of Harbor Avenue and contacted an employee who said that she detained Pickard for shoplifting an I Pod Dock Station. The employee said there was another female subject with Pickard, but she fled the store as she approached her. The employee also said that she received a call from the Fort Mohave Store Manager warning her of two female subjects driving a white Jeep Cherokee which left her store without paying for CD’s. Deputies contacted Pickard and the stolen dock station was returned to the store. During conversations with Pickard, she admitted to stealing the docking station. Pickard was taken into custody without incident. A search of Pickard’s white Jeep Cherokee revealed the stolen CD’s and a bottle containing a number of Vicodin pills. A search of Pickard’s purse revealed a crystal substance rolled up in a ten dollar bill located inside a small plastic bag which field tested positive for methamphetamine. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. This incident remains under investigation. Call or email us today and let GSX help your business to grow.
