2/4 Mohave County - Search and rescue northeast of Lake Havasu City

Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units responded Wednesday morning to two missing persons in the Hualapai Mountains.

The reporting party said that her husband, David Flick, 59, and a friend, John Dobrowolski, 75, both of Lake Havasu City, had not returned home from an off road adventure. They were expected to return Tuesday evening.

The person reporting said further that they were traveling in a red 1995 Jeep Cherokee in the Hualapai Mountains.

At about 5:30 a.m. Search and Rescue Units from Kingman, Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City were deployed to conduct a ground search while Kingman Ranger, Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue, began an aerial search.

Within an hour into the search the subjects were located by Kingman Ranger. The men were evacuated by helicopter and transported to the ground units. Both men were in good health. Their vehicle had become stuck in the snow on Boriana Mine Road.
