Mohave County PBS TV is now digital
According to Mohave County Public Information Director Darryle Purcell, PBS station KAET Channel 8 has been fully converted from analog to digital signals and is now available on all digital-ready televisions, as well as older sets equipped with a digital converter box.
"Those who have not purchased a DTV converter box need to do so," said Mohave County Television District Manager Yvonne Orr. Orr noted that each time an individual station is converted to digital, viewers must rescan their converter boxes to set up their TV reception for the new signal. While the new PBS station is the first converted signal to broadcast across the county, it is not the first to undergo the DTV transition. In October 2009, the county converted channel K31BI, which re-broadcasts CBS affiliate KLAS out of Las Vegas, but the signal was only made available in Kingman, Golden Valley and Wikieup. Orr described that first conversion as "a test transmission," in contrast to this week's full conversion. The DTV changeover does not affect residents who receive their signals via satellite or cable. Put American workers back to work: Call or email us today and let GSX help your business to grow.
