Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Danielle Marie Dykins, 23, of Kingman, for aggravated assault on a minor and child abuse, felonies, on Wednesday. Investigations began Tuesday morning regarding a domestic violence incident which occurred earlier that morning in in Golden Valley.

On Tuesday Dykins was arrested for assault and criminal damage, domestic violence, misdemeanors. Deputies learned that Dykins was punching, kicking and stabbed her boyfriend, 32, in his left hand. Deputies were advised that Dykins damaged her boyfriend’s dads’ vehicle tires with a knife.

Further investigations have determined that Dykins 7-month-old daughter was physically injured during the incident. On Tuesday the infant was taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center and later transported to Phoenix Children’s Hospital where she was later released.

Investigations determined that Dykins was holding her child during the domestic violence incident. A witness reported that as Dykins turned, the child’s’ head was struck on the hall wall inside the residence. Detectives contacted Dykins at the Mohave County Jail where she was informed of the above additional charges.
