Attorney General Terry Goddard says that Governor Jan Brewer played politics with immigration, and she lost.

"Perhaps now we in Arizona can focus on effective steps to fight border crime and keep our families safe. Now we can focus on steps, such as the ones I have been taking, to go after border crime and cut off the cash that flows to organized criminal cartels that smuggle thousands into the U.S.," said Goddard.

What Goddard did NOT say is what his effective steps might be toward fighting border crime and keeping our families safe. He doesn't say what his focus might be or the steps he has been taking except to go after border crime and cut off the cash flow. Well, isn't that a part of what SB1070 is all about?

Gov. Brewer is making smart decisions about immigration. She is doing the things it takes to make Arizona safe and to defend our economy. If AG Goddard thinks he is so smart, then he should begin cooperating with the governor, exchanging information, to make Arizona a better place for everyone to live.
