The Bullhead City Vice Narcotics Unit was recognized by the Arizona Narcotic Officers Association (ANOA) as “Narcotic Unit of the Year.”

“It is always gratifying to have members of the department recognized for excellence,” said Bullhead City Police Chief Rodney Head. “It is extremely notable that this honor is from their peers in the narcotics enforcement profession, and is well deserved.”

From January 2009 – January 2010, the Bullhead City Vice Narcotics Unit made 200 arrests, seized an approximate street value of $195,500 of drugs, recovered a $41,000 value of stolen property, seized approximately $113,500 of property and served over 90 search warrants.

“This is truly a unique group of officers that have raised the bar for other members to reach and continue the task of eradicating drugs from not only the City of Bullhead City, but that of Mohave County as well,” said Sgt. Kenny Williams, Bullhead City Police Department.

The Bullhead City Narcotics Unit; Sgt. Steven Nave, Sgt. Kenny Williams, Det. Brandon Grasse and Det. Roland Gutierrez, were recognized during the 2010 ANOA Conference in Phoenix, Monday.
