Man charged with altering paycheck, forgery, fraud
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jonathan Sarinana Jr., 36, of Bullhead City, Wednesday afternoon for forgery and attempt to commit fraud, felonies.
Investigations began June 29 regarding a fraud case involving Sarinana, a former employee of a furniture store. Sarinana was given a final employment check and authorities at the store were informed by a local bank that Sarinana had attempted to cash an altered check. Investigations continued and deputies attempted to make contact with Sarinana numerous times. At about 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, deputies contacted Sarinana in the 1700 block of Forest Drive in Bullhead City. Sarinana was taken into custody without incident.
