Man shot and killed during verbal fight
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives responded to call at a residence on Bond Street on Monday at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Upon arrival, Michael Peter Sessoyeff, 37, of Kingman, was located with a single gunshot wound to his chest. Detectives contacted Robert Keith Alber, 53, of Kingman, who stated he was involved in a verbal altercation with Sessoyeff over the gate to the property being locked. The altercation became physical at which time Alber shot Sessoyeff with a 9 mm Glock. Alber told detectives that he called 911. Alber stated he shot Sessoyeff in defense of himself. The gun was taken by detectives for evidence. Sessoyeff was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. The case will be forwarded to the County Attorney’s Office for review.
