One escapee captured Monday morning, other still on the run
Authorities have confirmed that one of two Arizona prison escapees was captured in Wyoming about 6:20 this morning.
Tracy Province, 42, was apprehended by U.S. Marshals after being seen walking through Meeteetse. At the time, the convicted killer was carrying a hitchhiking sign with "Casper" written on it as well as a handgun, according to Thomas Henman, a spokesman for the Marshals Service in Phoenix. Henman said that when Province was arrested, he said he was relieved he was caught. Province's arrest was the result of a tip authorities received. Authorities said on Sunday that the two men and an alleged accomplice, Casslyn Welch, 43, may have been in the Yellowstone National Park area of Montana and Wyoming, the U.S. Marshals Service said. Authorities now say Welch and McCluskey are no longer in the Yellowstone area but are in Montana, where they are believed to both have connections. They are described as armed and dangerous. "They consider themselves as Bonnie Clyde," said David Gonzales, the U.S. Marshal for Arizona. "This is very, very serious business." Gonzales said the fugitives are now suspected in the killings of a couple whose bodies were found Wednesday in New Mexico. Henman said Arizona prison officials have said the convicts belong to the Aryan Brotherhood prison gang, but there was no concrete information to tie them to white supremacist groups outside prison, according to CNN. Anyone with information on the fugitives is asked to call their local police or the ASP Kingman Escapees Task Force in Arizona at 602-542-1212. A $40,000 reward has been offered for information resulting in the capture of the escapees. Province is being held in the Hot Springs County Jail in Thermopolis pending extradition to Arizona, according to Henman. Call or email us today and let GSX help your business to grow.
