9.7 Bullhead City - Man tested .235% extreme DUI

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Paul Houston, 27, of Bullhead City on Friday night for DUI and extreme DUI with a BAC of .20% or more, misdemeanors.

At about 11:00 p.m., deputies observed a vehicle in the area of Wolf Court and Highway 95. Deputies contacted the occupant of the vehicle, identified as Houston.

While speaking with deputies, Houston advised he was driving home when his vehicle stalled. During conversations, deputies smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Houston. Houston admitted to drinking alcohol throughout the day.

Following field sobriety tests (FST’s), Houston was taken into custody. Houston was transported to the Mohave County District II Sub-station where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .235%. Houston was booked into the jail without incident.
