Woman kicks 2-yr-old, arrested for aggravated assault
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jessica Nicole Jackson, 26, of Mohave Valley, Saturday afternoon for aggravated assault - adult on a minor and possession of marijuana, felonies.
Just after noon, deputies responded to an assault report in the 2000 block of East Crystal Drive. Deputies contacted the reporting party who said that Jackson recently moved out as they have separated. The RP further said that Jackson had entered the residence without permission. Deputies learned that as Jackson walked down the hallway, she kicked a two-year-old boy and caused him to fall into the wall. Deputies contacted the child’s mother and she said that she and Jackson had a verbal altercation after Jackson injured her child. Deputies observed a small red knot on the victims’ right temple and a small bruise on his right cheek bone. At about 1:15 p.m., deputies contacted Jackson at a residence in the 2000 block of E Mountain View Bay. Jackson admitted to being at the residence earlier, but she denied touching the child. Jackson was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. While enroute to the jail, Jackson advised that she had forgotten that she has a small amount of marijuana inside her purse. At the jail, deputies located marijuana inside a pill container.
