Shoplifter nabbed at Safeway, Hwy 95 at Aztec
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronnie Lee Butler, 25, of Mohave Valley, Tuesday afternoon for shoplifting, a felony.
At about 4:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Safeway store in the 4800 block of Highway 95 in reference to a shoplifter. Deputies contacted the stores Loss Prevention Officer who reported that he detained a male subject identified as Butler for taking items without paying for them. The LPO also said that he observed Butler take two bottles of liquor and place them in his front pants pockets and attempt to walk out of the store. A computer history check showed Butler to have two convictions for shoplifting in the state of Georgia in 2009 and another shoplifting arrest in Mohave County earlier this year. Butler was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
