9.7 Mohave Valley - Aggravated assault, man shoves woman from home

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Edward Advocate, 42, of Mohave Valley on Sunday for aggravated assault, a felony.

At about 3:00 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 10000 block of River Delta and contacted the mother of the 14 year-old female victim. The mother and the victim reported that while at the residence, Advocate became upset with the 14 year-old.

It was reported that Advocate pushed the victim out of the residence and slammed the door on her hand. Deputies observed lacerations and bleeding to the victim’s hand.

Deputies contacted Advocate who denied assaulting the victim. Advocate was taken into custody without incident. Advocate was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.
