Son hits father numerous times in face
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Russell Lee Cruz, 27, of Bullhead City, Wednesday morning for aggravated assault per domestic violence, a felony.
Tuesday evening at about 9:30 p.m., deputies responded to an assault report at a residence in the 8700 block of S Desoto Drive. The witness reported that Cruz hit his 50-year-old father 6 to 7 times in the face. The father/victim told deputies that his son hit him numerous times in the face while he was on his back. Deputies observed the victims’ face to be swollen and bloody. Cruz was transported to Valley View Medical Center with a possible broken wrist where he was treated and later released. Cruz was advised of his charges and he said that it was worth it. Cruz was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
