Tattooing a minor without parental consent
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dalton Jake Hattem, 19, of Fort Mohave, Friday for tattooing a minor without consent, use unsterilized tattoo equipment, tattoo in home and possession of drug paraphernalia ,felonies.
Early Thursday afternoon deputies took a report regarding illegal tattooing. The reporting party said that her daughter, 17, got a tattoo by Hattem without her permission. Deputies contacted the reporting party’s daughter who admitted to paying for and receiving a tattoo recently by Hattem at his residence. Deputies attempted to make contact with Hattem at his residence a couple times without success. At about 12:30 p.m., deputies and detectives executed a search at Hattem’s residence in the 5700 block of Ruth Drive. Hattem was located inside the residence. The search revealed a tattoo gun, tattoo inks and needles. Deputies also located a red glass pipe with burnt residue. During conversations with Hattem, he admitted to tattooing the 17-year-old female friend. Hattem also said that he never thought it was a big deal to tattoo without a license and that he did not think that one needed a license to tattoo in your own home. Hattem was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. Call or email us today and let GSX help your business to grow.
