Corrections Officer’s were delivering meals to inmates in their cells Thursday (1/19) evening when they approached Ashley Anne Morrison's cell.

Corrections Officer’s observed Morrison on the floor with a sheet wrapped around her neck. Correction Officer’s immediately untied the sheet from her neck. Morrison was conscious. Medical staff evaluated Morrison. Morrison also scuffed up her arm with an issued safety razor.

Apparently, Morrison took a bed sheet from her bed, wrapped it around her neck, tied the sheet to the upper frame of the bunk bed and fell to the floor.

Ashley Anne Morrison, 24, of Kingman, is closely being monitored 24 hours a day. She is wearing a restraint jacket in a padded cell.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives are continuing their on-going investigations into the escape of inmate, Darren Morrison, 26, of Kingman.

Further information obtained, detectives were able to charge Ashley Anne Morrison 24, of Kingman with additional charges of fraudulent schemes, a class 2 felony and forgery, a class 4 felony on Friday (1/20) at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Ashley Morrison was booked on the additional charges.
