BHC Animal Control is accepting applications for volunteers
The Bullhead City Animal Control Shelter is accepting applications for volunteers.
“We are always in need of volunteers to help out with the animals in our community,” said Animal Control Bureau Manager Leah Rojas. “It’s a very rewarding experience and allows our limited staff to handle calls in the field.” Volunteers may perform duties such as, walking dogs, grooming, PetSmart Adoption Program, clerical work, education and cleaning cages and kennels. “It’s so important to educate pet owners to be responsible and with volunteers, the animals get special treatment like socializing them before they are adopted and getting out and walking more,” said Rojas. Anyone who is interested can ask for an application at the Bullhead City Human Resource Department, 1255 Marina Blvd. Or, call the shelter for more information at (928) 763-6000.
