MAGNET, Bullhead, Kingman and MCSO arrest man for weapons, drugs for sale
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joseph Michael Guy, 33, of Fort Mohave, Tuesday evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with an unlawful flight from law enforcement felony warrant issued by Bullhead Justice Court, a failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court and a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead Justice Court.
At about 9:00 p.m., deputies contacted Guy inside a garage at a residence in the 1500 block of East Los Colinas Lane regarding his outstanding warrant. Guy was taken into custody without incident. A search of Guy revealed a large buck-knife, a Billy club and a plastic bag containing several small plastic bags. A search of Guy’s backpack revealed a pipe with residue and two small plastic bags containing marijuana. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. Late Tuesday evening Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET) detectives responded and obtained a search warrant. Early Wednesday morning, at about 1:00 a.m., MAGNET detectives from Bullhead and Kingman along with deputies executed a search warrant in the 1500 block of East Los Colinas Lane of Guy’s living quarters inside the garage. The search revealed a semi-automatic handgun and a plastic bag containing approximately 24.6 grams of a white crystal substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. A computer check showed Guy to be a convicted felon and a prohibited possessor of firearms. Deputies re-contacted Guy at the Mohave County District II Substation where he was charged with possession of a weapon by prohibited person, possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies.
