1.27 Golden Shores - UPDATE Owner dies in fire at Linda's Cafe

Details are still scarce about the fire that burned Linda's Cafe Thursday morning.

GSX News is being told that the owner was in the building at the time and he perished in the fire.

Ron will surely be missed by all who had the pleasure knowing him and enjoying his great food.

Initial reports are that the fire was caused by a gas explosion.

No more details are available at this time. This page will be updated as more information is available.

UPDATE
The following is a report GSX News received Friday from MCSO information officer, Trish Carter.

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a male subject at a business (Linda's Cafe) in the 12900 block of South Oatman Road, Golden Shores.

Thursday 1.26, at about 7:44 a.m., a fire was reported at the business.

Golden Shores Fire Department personnel were at the scene extinguishing the fire when a deceased subject was located inside.

The victim is identified as Ronald Lee Hansen, 58, of Topock.

Foul play is not suspected at this time. Cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner.

Initial investigations have determined the hot water heater caused the fire.

Other news agencies are reporting that the building is a total loss.
