1.12 Bullhead City - A New Year… 2 New Officers

The Bullhead City Police Department welcomed two new police officers.

Officer Mark Mullins and Officer Scott Smith graduated from the 18-week Western Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy (WALETA) in Lake Havasu City on December 23, 2011.

“(The academy) was very stressful, very tough, but definitely worth it to learn and acquire the knowledge I’ve gained,” said Officer Smith, who moved from Michigan to join the Bullhead City Police Department.

Both new officers are now partnered with Field Training Officers patrolling the streets of Bullhead City to apply and improve their law enforcement skills.

“I’m going to live here for the rest of my life and I just want to make it a better place for my children,” said Ofc. Mullins, a local graduate of Mohave High School.

Tune into the next episode of “Code 3” on TV4 or watch it online at www.bullheadcity.com to learn more about our newest members on the force.

Those interested in a career in law enforcement can contact Corporal Jason Harms at 928-763-9200 ext. 232.
