One dead in Thanksgiving eve crash

Update - The name of the driver has been released. Michael McLaughlin, 31, of Bullhead City reportedly lost control of his vehicle, a 1997 Ford, while traveling southbound on Highway 95. The driver of the other vehicle, a Chevy Tracker, a male, 71, from Washington, was flown to Las Vegas and is reported to be in serious condition. A passenger in the Tracker was treated and released.

Mohave Valley - DPS reported one person is dead and two others are hospitalized after a crash Thursday afternoon on Highway 95 between Laguna Road and Courtwright Road in Mohave Valley.

The name of the victim is being witheld, but DPS says that driver was apparently struck by an SUV at around 3:30 p.m. after making a U-turn over the double yellow line on the highway. Two people in the Chevy Tracker were taken to Valley View Medical Center in Fort Mohave. One of them was flown to Las Vegas in serious condition. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mohave Valley Fire Department paramedics responded to the crash. DPS is still conducting the investigation.
