Chinese solar business coming to Arizona
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer announced Monday that a Chinese-owned manufacturer of solar panels plans to build a 100,000 square-foot headquarters and manufacturing plant in the Phoenix area.
Suntech Power Holdings said the facility should be building solar panels sometime in 2010 and eventually employing 250 or more people. Suntech will potentially be the first company eligible under the new Renewable Energy Tax Incentive program which provides refundable tax credits and property tax reductions for manufacturers.
