Deputies bust 2 girls, of Ft. Mohave and Topock, drugs
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ashlie Dawne Claunch, 19, of Topock, and Heather Nicole Baker, 20, of Fort Mohave, early Tuesday morning 12/15. Claunch was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, felonies, and assault, misdemeanor. Baker was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, felonies.
At around 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to shots fired at a business located in the 5400 block of Highway 95. Upon arrival, deputies contacted subjects standing in the parking lot. Deputies contacted the manager. The manager advised that the loud noise was someone banging on the back door of the business. Deputies contacted a male subject identified as a male victim, 19. The victim said that he was there to pickup Baker, his girlfriend, and he waited 30 minutes before he started banging on the door. He had escorted Baker by her arm and led her to their vehicle, then Claunch, punched him with her fist under his right eye. When deputies contacted Claunch she said that she hit the victim as he was being too aggressive with Baker. When deputies contacted Baker she said that she did not see Claunch hit the victim. Deputies found Claunch and Baker to be in possession of marijuana and a pipe with burnt residue. They were taken into custody without incident, transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
