LV Police locate vehicle used in $1 million armored car heist
Las Vegas police have located a vehicle used in the armored car heist on Monday.
Investigators said there are cameras everywhere in Las Vegas and this was quite a daring crime that the robbers pulled off on Monday. However, history doesn’t bode well for their success.
A man confronted a guard outside the Palace Station Hotel and Casino just after 9:00 a.m. Monday and ordered him to drop four bags containing around $36,000 in cash and cashed checks that pushed the total to $1 million. The robber took the bags and left with another suspect in a gold or possibly beige Dodge Stratus sedan. "Broad daylight, in front of a casino on Sahara? That’s pretty brazen," said a Metro policeman. Police said casino security was briefly distracted during the robbery by a car fire in the parking garage. It’s unknown whether the fire was a deliberate diversion. As a whole, authorities said, casino robberies are historically unsuccessful. The last armored car robbery in Las Vegas happened in 2007. Those suspects were caught the very same day. Although police are not commenting on the investigation or whether they have any leads or suspects. Call or email us today and let GSX help your business to grow.
